Prematch | Sunderland AFC Vs Liverpool FC | PL Matchday 26| Wednesday 11/02/2026 - 20:15

Who knows… the performance levels and results have been up and down since some time. But we can’t be seen as favourites for that one, that’s for sure. We lack too much consistency for that.

Anyway, I hope for the best of course, but don’t expect anything from that game to be honest.

We have the power, the resiliance, a state mind to get through this opposing team. :flexed_biceps:t4:

We are all for one and one for all.

This is what Slot said on Thursday so has anything changed?

Feb 05: ‘With Joe, we have a little bit of hope that he might train Saturday, so not available to start, but maybe available to help the team if needed… because, as you know, there are not many defenders available at the moment.’

Yesterday post match he said that he doesn’t expect Gomez to be available and even if it would be very risky to throw him back in rightaway.

Is Ramsay fit?

Fair enough

He was pictured in training last week.

Mind games? Our secret weapon?

Night game atmosphere too. Will need to quieten it down sharpish or I can see a similar game to the Brentford away one :smiling_face_with_tear:

Every game is a must win.

I’m sure that Arne and his team will know the personel, tactics and formation to see us through this game. COYR YNWA :+1:

Every game has been a must-win for a while now, but we’ve only won once. Still had you asked me 3-4 weeks ago, I would have bet that we were going to finish in the CL spots. Yesterday felt like the final nail in the coffin though.

I just don’t see how this team is going to start picking up wins, especially now against a team that handled us with ease at Anfield and is undefeated at home. We’ve reached the point that 3 points against Sunderland would feel like a nice surprise.

Let’s not lose this!

I have to wonder at what the betting lines are going to look like - between head to head and LFC’s struggles, would Sunderland be the favourites? They have been struggling a little of late, and are missing Xhaka, but I would expect they are.

That is a wild arc, how many times would a defending champion even possibly be the underdogs against a promoted team?

I think Jones will play as RB.

We’re about evens. Remarkably they have Sunderland at 4/1 for the win.

Easy bit of cash there to be honest, if I bet on it they would draw though.

(This match may be included in the next season of “Sunderland til I Die”?)

Don’t think there is one anymore, which is a shame, because it would’ve been fun to continue the story with their promotion and first season back up.

Draw no bet is an option, you’d probably still get 5/2.
