If Alisson isn’t fit for the next PL match , I’d have Jaros in goal. As much as Kelleher needs the match practice.

Looking at the fixture list to follow in October/November , the last thing we need is more matches.

But that said , we’ve won this cup a couple of times.

Liverpool can even look at playing more people from the youth team. A CB from the u19s too perhaps.

This is the Klopp’s kids cup. Maybe people better knowledgeable than me know the other youth players who can fit in and do a job. It’s a free throw of the dice , the chance to audition well. Whether it is to be in the first team or to get a move to a club where they play more regularly.

Wonder about giving Darwin and Slobber some more game time. Perhaps in for Nyomi and Jota? Not keen on Jaros but if Becker is going to be out for a while agree that it’s prudent.

I’m not sure where this is being televised outside the UK. I can’t see it listed anywhere other than Sky in the UK.

Apparently not:

I’m a bit pissed off with this because they charge a fortune for the subscriptions and it is really only the CL that I am watching now.

Jaros is likely going to be the third keeper for us next season. Could even be the 2nd choice keeper this season if a suitable deal for Kelleher comes in January (A deal that Liverpool would find it difficult to refuse).

It’s important that Jaros gets the time as well.

Will be interesting to see Slot’s “rules”.

Is Kelleher getting the whole League Cup, like it was under Klopp, etc.

I think he remains in goal here to keep him in rhythm. Plus obviously we need a quality option to attack a PL opponent.

Didn’t sound like Alisson will be out for long, so I guess Kelleher gets another game here and then hopefully Ali’s back for Wolves.

Yeah. Depends on Slot.

We should probably give Alisson a bit more time to recover. Kelleher is good enough to play against Wolves. Jaros getting the go ahead for the match against West ham is in line with what happened previously under Klopp (not the last season) but the one before where Adrian got the FA Cup and Kelleher got the league Cup.

@Sweeting , any other youth prospects that Slot is likely to push in this match?

Apart from Nyoni.

Why would he push youth players in when the rest of the squad barely gets a chance? It’s more likely to be load balancing of the players. @Mascot’s or your lineup are far more likely.
