Referee: Sam Barrott. Assistants: Lee Betts, Wade Smith. Fourth official: Michael Oliver. VAR: Paul Tierney. Assistant VAR: Sian Massey-Ellis.

Not heard of this ref before…but bet he’s shite.

Oliver as 4th official - lovely

Good to have bodies back.

Guess the questions are who starts at LB, #10 and up top.

Robertson or Tsimikas, Szoboszlai or Jones (hopefully he’s over his knock), Diaz or Jota.

Time to exploit those spaces they leave behind, but this time hopefully with the right decisions!

Absolute fucking must win. Can’t have the plastic blue shite* ahead of us and also have to stop this run of dropped points (ever since Magnus became a Cocky Norse God).

  • No not the shite blue plastics nor the blue shites.

Does the 4th official actually do much.

Used to be a sounding board for Klopp. I’m a bit concerned how much conversion goes on during the match. If you have someone trying to prompt from the sidelines it’s going to affect the quality of the official on the pitch.

My guess is Robertson will start, and it’ll be back to a good toss-up between 2 of the 3 as to who will start in midfield, and then Diaz, Jota, Salah up-front. That makes the most sense given the rotation. Depending on Jota’s condition of course.

Tsimikas to start. Tottenham are going to go all out attack at the start and Robertson has show that his recovery pace isn’t what it was. Kulusevski in particular willl be very very tough to handle.

Szoboslai to play ahead of Jones.

Diaz ahead of Jota. Gakpo in the middle over Nunez.

The Spurs tire out quickly too. We weather out the early storm and punish them later just like the blueshits did

Hes the one that alerts the refs of any misdemeanours on the sidelines, tracks injury time/stoppages (along with ref), and also has the ability to give his view to the onfield ref.

Given ‘Ol’ thinks he’s gods gift to refereeing, and his voice appears to carry weight amongst the PGMOL mob, I’d rather he not be there.

It really doesn’t matter.

Tiernay is one of the worst so yeah fine.

4th officials moaning just makes it look silly.

It’s tiresome if we are going down that route.

Spurs are always wide open at the back, but they can be dangerous. Especially Son, who seems to score consistently only against us. If we start asleep again with mental mistakes and disorganised, we will be in trouble. On the other hand, if we rediscover our defensive mojo, we should win and quite comfortably.

It really comes down to us. We can’t afford to drop points from a very winnable fixture for a third time in a row.

In that case, it would be Diaz central, not Gakpo.

Tsimikas to start on left.
I think Gomez starts at CB much to @Sweeting being annoyed.
Gravenberch, MacAllister and Szoboszlai.
Salah, Jota and Cody.

Nunez, Jones and Diaz off the bench when required.
Another huge game, hopefully Everton and Palace do us a favour over the weekend.

Nice to see you back after such a long break.

Dont disagree…its a very minor point.

Tierney had a problem with Klopp so shouldn’t be an issue for us now.

Would love it if we played them at their own game and met fire with fire. It would be a beatdown of epic proportions.

But I’d settle for knocking it about for 80mins then springing into life for 10mins to score our winning goal.

Lets see which Spurs player will see a red card tonight.

Suits us that theyve gone strong, and further suits us that theyve gone to 3-0 up to 3-2 with some keeper calamities.
