It’s usually an hour before the match?
Only thing i’ve heard is that Darwin is on the bench
Alisson,
Gomez, Matip, Virgil, Robertson
Jones, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai
Salah, Gakpo, Diaz
Bench: Kelleher, TAA, Konaté, Tsimikas, Wataru, Gravenberch, Elliott, Núñez, Jota
Nice one, Trent fit enough for the bench…
Tottenham XI: Vicario, Porro, Van de Ven, Romero, Udogie, Bissouma, Sarr, Kulusevksi, Maddison, Son, Richarlison
Subs: Forster, Skipp, Hojlbjerg, Emerson Royal, Solomon, Davies, Phillips, Veliz, Donley.
Very surprised Gakpo has been preferred to Nunez despite his positive performance in the week. Otherwise, pretty much as expected. Only other possible change would have been Konate for Matip, but he’s played well of late and having some consistency in selection in defence is never a bad thing.
As expected, apart from Gapko. Personally would have gone for Nunez.
Our bench look really strong
That’s my fault. I started the season with Gakpo in my dream team and changed to Nuñez this week.
We don’t have anyone who arrives in the box ‘early’ with that line up which tends to mean we get stiffled. Elliot and Nunez to come on and wreck havoc?
That’s probably the plan, get Gakpo to wear them out to exhaustion first, while keeping control, then unleash the chaos.
Who knows.
Really suprised Matips in ahead of Konate. Couldve played in Spurs hands there
We cannot start slow here otherwise we will be out of the game before HT
its not even ten games in and im so fuckin nervous, why am i so nervous
No Nunez is odd, hopefully Gakpo has one of those rare excellent games.
Gomez and Matip have a big job to do against Son, not easy. If they play well we have a big chance here.
Think it’s too soon after injury for Konate to play twice in 3 days.
feel this one will be won and lost in midfield
Like others, I would have started Nunez. Still, I can see the working. Gakpo is a good player, took his goal well in the cup the other day, and you would have to think Nunez will see 20-30 mins here today too, which will be enough time for him to bag a couple and nab a yellow!
Results elsewhere gives us an even bigger motivation to win. If we lose, not only do we miss the chance to go first but also lose 2nd spot to Spurs, so a professional performance and whatever win will do.
Hopefully Gakpo will bust his guts to prove Jurgen right.
Last motivational words before the game?
“chance to go top of the table lads”
Let’s fucking smash these cunts!!
yep…city lost…WOW
