That’s why they got Maddison

Smash them. They are Spursy shit.

For our back four, I would put in Gomez, Konate, Virgil and Robbo with Trent coming on as a sub if required. He has not played for a few weeks and may need a few games to get match fit. We need to contain Son and Richarlison.

Our midfield should be able to contain Maddison and Bissouma. Expect MacAllister, Szoboszlai and Jones to start.

Then let their defence worry about Mo, Nunez and Diaz.

We should be able to just win it - 3-1.

Or a manager teaching them in training how to dive inside the box - we hope

what a clown. he was saying arsenal would smash spurs last week

We have made a good start to the season. Im still watching and learning to see what the midfield does. So far it seems there’s no fixed role for the deeper midfielder, and that has rotated a bit between a couple of players within games. It’s an overstatement to say we are defensively vulnerable, but that little narrative is getting a toe hold on the likes of Sky.

We have been good in all departments, but it’s fair to say we are still working on getting everything dialed in, and we will improve more as we go. The quality we have available is getting it done, but there’s a sense that the system is being honed each game, and before long this machine will be purring. But it’s not quite there yet!

As such, I expect Spurs to be a threat. They have started well and they go about their business on the front foot. I really like their manager too.

I expect us to win this one, and 3-1 would be my prediction too! But I want to see more data points with this new side, more wins under our belts, before I am comfortable saying too loudly that we will do this or that.

Quietly confident, yes. And as a football fan, besides the passion, there’s sort of an academic aspect to watching us, as I suspect we are evolving the game, especially in midfield, and if we crack it, other teams will seek to copy it down the line. It’s early stages.

Haven’t seen Spurs play yet , but I refuse to believe that they’ve suddenly transformed themselves into a top team , no matter their results. They are second only in cheatiness to the champions of cheat themselves and as such deserve a thorough thrashing. That 16/1 looks awfully good value.

We’ll be stupid to take Spurs and Ange lightly. it’s a 50-50 for me.

We are due a match where we aren’t able to breakthrough after conceding a cheap goal in the earlier moments.

Why does Klopp call Postecoglou “Ante”?

:joy:

Postecoglu is a Liverpool fan!

I laughed more at the headline.

How will the league cope if Chelsea buy more players :joy:

Probably explains why Bajectic didn’t play the full game on Wednesday. For some reason wouldn’t copy the page link.

FAWWWWKKKK I’m heating up over here. I REALLY want this one.

I was fine with a draw at Stamford Bridge because at the time, there was a sense that Chelsea would be strong contenders this season with more new faces and Poch to coach them up.

This one, I won’t be able to stand if we don’t batter them from pillar to post. I feel like they’re a paper tiger and while Son will get his looks in, we need to control this match, and we have the talent to do it all over the pitch.

Really expecting Nunez to give them massive problems, and with Salah and Diaz poking around on the wings, we should have too much firepower for them.

It’s a must-win for me. Could be a big statement to go away to one of our main top-table rivals and come home with three more points. Ditto the next match in Brighton.

Think of that - if we take 10 points from away matches against chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle, and Brighton this early in the season, it’s like putting money in the bank for the return fixtures later on.

Trent’s fit apparently but I think I’d still stick with Gomez who has been very good.

Dom Mac Jones

Salah Nunez Diaz.

Let’s heavy metal these wankers. 1-3
