If I could choose, I would hope it would be a tense affair, but preferably without bad blood and injuries. I need something more than an infant’s version of Guardiola football, with sideways passes where nothing happens.
Of course, in reality I would like free-flowing, way more direct attacking football, but that is never going to happen, so then tension is something at least
I won’t be able to watch, but should catch the highlights a few hours later. Long weekend, going on a road trip to see our son at college. It’s about a 9 hr drive Mrs ROTW has booked us an Air bnb on the old Route 66 and he is excited to show us his life there. Mrs ROTW is doing a heroic thing as we will arrive with pizza for everyone on his floor in the college dorm.
You never know what you are going to get with Liverpool at the minute. I could see some sort of response and a comfortable win. I could also see Wolves give us a hard game as they have the bit between the teeth. I could also see another tame display on our end.
Here’s hoping for the win. It has been a bad season, but I’d still love to see some silverware.
No it’s a distraction!
It’s unfortunate. We are yo-yoing from poor to standing our own and I feel in these situations some games just don’t help.
We need to either win the CL or get top 4? now and anything else like holidays and playing stroppy games is just no longer important.
I hope some youngsters get an outing and an enjoyable outing. Also that all goes well no injuries or red card for Nallo.
Yeah, I hear you, and there’s always that risk of yet another injury as well. Agree, we should be focusing on CL (winning, or places), and it’s a great opportunity to rest some ‘tired’ players and give a few kids a run out. Sadly I don’t think lifting the FA cup is any compensation for missing out on CL next season.
We are Liverpool Football Club, we play to win trophies, not for a place in the final standings (2nd to 5th), so I would rather lift the FA Cup than finish third.
If the other night wasn’t enough fuel to the players to pull their finger out tonight and play with an ounce of urgency from the start then it’s just another point to make when assessing where we go from a management perspective in the Summer.
It’s down to Slot to stand infront of that dressing room before kick off and let them know that it would be unacceptable to lose 2 in a row to this shower of shite.
None of this “play it side to side faster” bollocks. Get at them. Run in behind. Play it forward. Take on your man. Win your duels. Win your headers.
We’ve been playing this slow boring football for twelve months now and Slot has not changed the teams basic style. He either hasn’t got a clue or is just dam stubborn.
