Sounds like Wirtz won’t be long term mind.

JoĂŁo Gomes is good in the midfield for them. We will have to be a bit more solid than last time against West Ham. If we play close to our level we should have too much for them. After our disastrous run our form has been much better and we need to keep it going to grab a CL spot.

A 3 goals win will put us in 3rd place. A 2 goals win by 4-2 will also put us in 3rd. Even just temporarily before the manures and villa play. Will be a good motivation considering we have come quite a way from the shitty performances this season.

Performances still shitty. It’s just the results that have improved.

Any chance for Isak to come on as a sub for the FA Cup game against Wolves? I remember Slot saying in an earlier interview Isak should be ready by early March.

About as much chance as Ian Rush coming on.

I think mid April is still the prognosis.

Yesterday’s injury update from Rob Edwards: Hwang is also fit and they have no players missing.

I’m sure that Arne and his team will know the personnel, tactics and formation to see us through this game. COYR YNWA :+1:

Wirtz still injured? If he dont play tonight then dont play him Friday either.
I thought he only had a tweak?

This is LFC.
I remember Ox, Keita, Jota and Thiago all being “short term” and we didnt see them for months.

Yes, Wirtz’s career is clearly over. He’s missed a couple of games and is never coming back.

Few months out is short term for us these days.

I’m kind of leaning the other way on this. Edwards may think that relegation is a given, and put more on the Friday cup match, as that is their only chance at anything positive. Might be thinking that Slot will put his emphasis on the league game, and not the cup game, and Liverpool will put out a weaker squad on Friday.

Wolves have nothing to lose on either front.
They will approach both matches in the same manner. They are as good as relegated and won’t win the FA Cup.
They are in a free go till May, setting a style and goals for next season.
At the moment they are a better team than Forest, Burnley and Spurs.

Definitely not an easy pair of games against Wolves. In addition to the reasons already stated, some players may also see this as an audition for a bigger club. Namely, the two Gomes. Hwang may also interest some, as will Mane. Some of them might be on our radar too.

That’s the way it wa ms under Klopp.

Same as West Ham, except Frimp for JoGo
