Remember last weekend… the smoke they were blowing up Arteta?
It almost makes you think that ManU are not a good side.
Now 3-0 Villa
Arteta the new Messiah.
Nice counter that.
Grealish is a very good player.
What we are starting to learn is that you don’t want to play Villa just before an international break.
Finally we have some manager who’s improved our players, we are playing good football with a purpose and set tactic, even during Arsene years at the end it wasn’t this good, defensively we are soo better these days…
Oh wait 3-0? Arteta out, Allegri is the man to take us forward.
Wow, this was a really nice move.
Ummm, Sheffield Utd decided to be the outlier.
Blades too the ‘we should all be crap’ idea too far
I know that a number of you are against allowing 5 substitutes but I’m personally in favour and I’m glad it’s going to be put back on the agenda (again)
As before I’d like to see it conditional upon at least 2 of those substitutes being homegrown or under 23 (or some other similar conditionality).
Right now, those not playing in Europe see this as a competitive advantage. However, later in the season and they start having to play twice a week with a fatigued squad, they’ll be victims of their own shortsightedness.
I think we’ll also see an increasing number of top clubs doing all they can to keep their players off international duties. With the way the world is, the compressed domestic season and a Euros potentially in the summer it’s irresponsible that international friendlies and garbage like the Nation’s League are still going ahead.
Players are being flogged to the point of injury. Yes big clubs have bigger squads for rotating but then having them taken off for pointless international games is making it worse for very little point. Let alone the risk of transmission of Covid.
At the time I was but having seen it in the CL, I think I was blaming the break up of play more on that than those water breaks.
Any competitive edge from having a larger type squad could be removed should five substitutes be allowed to be used from the bench… by limiting the number of players available on the bench to five…!
This will limit formation changes to a degree, which seems to be the bugbear with the smaller clubs
Yeah but teams would still complain as we have James Milner and is 5 subs in one player
