Premier League 2020/21 (Part 1)

What was that ?

I have got to the stage in life where I can’t hate young lads largely on the grounds that they play for a football team other than the one I support. Life is far too short. I have never understood that extreme tribal attitude and it is something I really dislike about this sport but hey ho…

Swearing on his daughter’s life in an interview to steal a goal from Eriksen. About as desperate as it gets.

Yeah, I can only agree concerning how good they are. A football fan has to appreciate skill and talent like they have, although it is unfortunate that they play for that club.

I remember now … but I didn’t know the bit about him swearing on his daughter’s life. Fukin’ ell.

I agree with you, Rambler. I don’t really like it myself at all. I like rivalry, the overblown loathing and hatred is not to my liking at all, particularly the blanket loathing that is very often labeled at a given clubs fans, including Everton and Manchester United (not that they are in any way better, but I guess my point is that they are generally the same).

As for managers, the only guy I really dislike personally is Mourinho, but that’s because I think he is cruel and I don’t like cruel people so I generally want both him and his team to fail.

That was an incredible shot. That is one way to finish from that angle, bloody hell.

That was just beautiful. Wonderful counter attack, Arsenal was stretched and for moment, I thought that Son had messed up, but he did indeed pass in the right moment and that finish was lovely.

Edit: To be critical, maybe Son passed in the incorrect moment, Kane had to really, really work to get that goal in.

Felt like Arsenal was creeping back in it too albeit lacking that final pass, which Spurs obviously do no lack.

Hard to give any prediction in this game, but I do predict 4-1 now.

Classic Jose. Sit back, invite the pressure and counter at pace on their weak side which is Bellerin.
They have been in the Arsenal half twice and scored on both occasions.

That second Spurs goal is the perfect illustration of why the “the keeper should never be beaten on the near post” conventional wisdom is so bad. That goal illustrates exactly why it can be a harder shot to save.

All in all, really good goal all around.

What’s happened to their 72m winger they thought would transform them into title contenders.

Bit livelier now…

One of the most stupid pieces of conventional wisdom in football.

Very seldom will you hear an ex-goalkeeper say it.

Both Spurs goals were made possible by horrible defending from Arsenal, bizarre defending.

I hadn’t seen Partey come off during that second goal.
