If they do, the better team will have lost.

Pessimistic as I am …

WBA will play tomorrow/today but I am concerned about our game with them next week.

Hate Allardyce because he has been able to frustrate us many times in the past.

Also, read the players get a few days off. This also didn’t work out for us in the past (remember the warm weather thing?)

Thank god we play at home.

Just watched MotD and they did no analysis whatsoever on the potential penalties for Southampton against City.

The first one on Ings is something you see a lot of. A challenge on a player that doesn’t get anything of the ball (or anywhere near the ball) but because the player got a shot off it’s deemed not to be a foul. That’s frankly wrong. It’s a foul anywhere else on the pitch and I felt Ings was right to feel aggrieved.

The second one where Sterling plays the ball up on to his own arm with nobody around him, which then allows him to control what would otherwise have been a heavy touch, clear handball (ignoring any lack of intention because from the penalties that have been given this season I don’t think that’s relevant any more?). Why wasn’t that a penalty?

Why were neither of these incidents reviewed 20 times by VAR? Why were they not even discussed by MotD? Really odd.

Looking forward to week Monday Dec 28: Everton v Citeh. We saw what instructions the thugs were under and they successfully hurt our 2 best players (according to yours truly) for a long time.

What will their approach be against Pepe’s ballerinas?

And how many times will the refs review “likely” penalties and red-card offences against either team?

Matt Ritchie’s own goal was amusing.

Let them enjoy the view looking directly up our posterior for a few more hours.
Their slide down to their birthright 8th place will begin soon, very soon.
At least 3rd after the Spursy/Foxes match or even a couple of hours earlier should SU continue being mired on 1 point.

Beside the demolition of Crystal Palace yesterday, and Woy sitting into his seat with utter dejection,
we probably also witnessing the moment the Palace board began to put his P45 into an envelope.!
Almost two years to the day the boys did the business on Mourinho… :grinning:

VAR doing the proper job there, that was just nasty could have broken the lads ankle.

Dunno though, he only drew with Spurs the week before and a draw in midweek was also pretty good against a West Ham team doing well, they are probably the level they expect maybe one or two places out. If they had more ambition they probably should have sacked him in the summer.

One thing I will say with Palace and Roy is they don’t roll over against teams, even against us they gave us a game until half time, at which time it was beyond them and playing midweek had its effect as I expected.

Much better from Sheffield the last two matches. Showed real fight against Man U, didn’t give up, got the second goal.

What a finish in this match. Charging forward trying to get the winner despite being a man down. Have to say that was impressive effort. Positive sign for them. We’ll see.

Roy Keane, ‘Liverpool have had a very good couple of days, especially yesterday.’

Yes Roy, but you should have seen the cod and chips Hendo had on Friday night!

I am loving it that Jose’s cracks at JK are an established narrative now (they featured in the Spurs/Foxes build up), and that everyone can see plain as day that Jurgen doesn’t give two fucks.

Here it is in gif form…
