We are letting teams close the gap by drawing too many games. We are missing Jota big time. United 2 points behind is a cause of concern and we need to pull ahead. Think the game against United on 17th Jan is a must win for us as it will be like a 6 pointer and United’s down hill will start from there just like Spurs.

Could be said that it has already cost us. If Matip stays on there I doubt we concede against West Brom. Pure conjecture but that is my opinion. With Fabinho and Matip fit I was relatively confident but I after a very long time coming I also now have zero confidence that Matip can remain fit for an extended period. I was hoping for a decent run of games such as he displayed from December onwards in the CL winning season but that is 18 months ago now and he has been pretty much unavailable for longer than a month or two ever since.
We really have to dip in the market in Jan. I still reckon we will be there and thereabout even if we don’t but we will just be making it far more difficult for ourselves.

I have never seen a team at this level look as tired as Wolves were at the end last night. That goal came first from Hoever being so tired that he looked like falling while on the ball and so just aimless kicked it, and then the wolves defender who was in position to cut out the through ball looked like his feet just didnt move the way his brain was telling them to.
