The common theme amongst pundits is that ‘by going down he’s forcing the ref to make a decision’. We’re never going to win any friends amongst any fans and the tactic is working a treat for United so I reckon we should join them. Case in point is Mané on Wednesday; United players appear to be conditioned to to go down when they feel it knowing that refs will give it their full attention and that all VAR is looking for is minimal contact while our players just don’t think or play like that.
Of course, no guarantee we get it anyway because, well, it’s us…

I really like the way Villa play football. They struggled at times but when they play well they are as good as anyone.
