Premier League 2020/21 (Part 1)

Shame Danny Ings couldn’t play tonight. So many open chances for Soton. He might have done better with one of them.

Seems like Vardy limps off every week with some kind of soft tissue injury but always starts the following match.

Harvey Barnes is some player. That was a really smooth and polished finish.

Fecking hell…just realised if Everton win their game in hand they’re above us…

That should make for an interesting time around here.

OK so now we know the lie of the land in this year’s league, if we didn’t before. It’s no longer in our hands even with a sequence of winning matches like autumn 2019.

That would be an insanely fortunate run based on how we look at the moment. There’s only one side that you could reckon with stringing a run of 20 straight wins together and it isn’t United…

We are not going to win anything this year what is a real shame considering what a good group of players we have.

Injuries, Everton thugs, COVID, the apparently unwillingness from FSG to invest this Januari and bent match officials are making sure of that.

Football life sucks this season.

The posters who are giving up the league already are the equivalent to the ‘fans’ who used to leave the stadium before 90th minute when we were trailing.

Sorry but that’s embarrassing.

When we win we’re the best fans in the world in joking about Red Cafe etc.

But when we have a bad run after three or four great years we give up and question everything and everybody.

That must be the Liverpool way.

:man_facepalming:t4:

Looking forward to read the shitstorm tomorrow. Good night everyone.

Apart from last season where we won the title and kicked arse through till march when covid kicked in,i can’t remember over the last 20+ years where we never had a bad spell around the december/january mark, what caused that slump was beyond me but we always got through it and had an almost championship wining run in after we got out of it,everytime.

We have got that funk back again by the looks of it,obviously losing our 2/3 CB’s and 2 of our best midfielders now having to cover those positions, looks like one of the main reasons for it this time around (although the front 3 are having a mare, which could be a knock on effect of playing players out of position behind them),admittedly it’s not a good sign BUT even with all our injuries,we are still in touching distance of the top spot, players are coming back to fitness and i believe this dodgy spell will soon be over, this is still a great set of players capable of turning it around,it wasn’t long ago this set of players (minus Jota atm) went to Italy and put 5 past Atalanta and broke the biggest win for a British team on Italian soil.

I still believe.

To be fair that game is against Man City.

It’s about being realistic, we’ve generally had good December’s under Klopp, January has generally been rubbish but it is true if we won our remaining 20 games we would be champions.

I’m just looking at our forward play and waiting for our next decent chance, we’ve not had one since Newcastle if I’m being generous in which we fluffed the obvious.

Knowing how bitter Citeh are towards us. I would not put it past them to have a number of covid cases that week which sees them putting out their kids.
