Premier League 2020/21 (Part 1)

Sadly, I disagree.

I think that the sheer bias exhibited by the Premier League has broken him.

I agree with the bias for sure, I watched them flat out STEAL points from us v Brighton and Everton. Robbery in broad daylight.

That said, I also agree with @mattyhurst, I think we’ve underachieved slightly. The 3 matches at the turn of the year really hurt us, all 3 in which we likely should’ve got the job done. (WBA, Newcastle, Soton) Taking 2pts from 9. Plenty of time left but it’s a real fight now and whereas the margins were slim, the margins are none now.

I don’t get Southampton, I really don’t understand this team. How can you lose to arsenal, like this. They are possibly the most unpredictable and inconsistent team.

I was watching the Newcastle Leeds game last night and I saw a couple of decisions go against Newcastle which were borderline but then I thought if those had been given against us there would have been the usual allegations of bias / corruption. The footage and stills would have been analysed over and over again to prove the case…

It is very odd but for some reason my West Ham mate has gone very quiet with his conspiracy stuff lately. Could that possibly be because they have won the last 6. I wonder…

Or maybe “they” have turned their attention elsewhere…

Talking about a conspiracy against us is nuts. However, it seems that there is bias at work again this season.

It’s strange, last season, we seemed to get quite a lot of ref decisions right, while during this one, it has been horrible again.

Decisions right or just in our favour? After all, every decision is right or wrong depending on which of the two sides you support …

They had a few injuries including both full backs.
Also dont understand why they play McCarthy when Forster is a better keeper.

Me too but I think deep down Jurgen knows the chances of winning the PL or CL are very slim with no CBs.

I didn’t notice too much bias in our favour. However, key decisions were mostly right. When there was a foul in the box, we got a pen etc.

Very, very shallow squad and very little top end talent. They’re playing with Theo Walcott and Stuart Armstrong on the wings ffs.

What bugs me is the fact that they are either very good (whoever the opponent) or very average (whoever the opponent). There’s barely any consistency. Apart from that Ralph Hasenhüttl has done a great job with this squad.

How the fuck can you lose to Arsenal, at home :exploding_head: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :face_vomiting:

I agree and again I go back to my earlier statement that they remind me of the earlier days of The Boss’s project here. A lot of great spirit and solidarity but just a bit inconsistent in the moment.

Think it really reiterates how well Hasenhüttl is doing.

To be fair they did beat them 4 days ago, in a way maybe they see the cup the best option while Arsenal have depth to play in both

I couldn’t agree more. I love Ralph and I was moved by his emotion after they beat us. I didn’t always feel this way about him but I’ve come around after watching them evolve in his image and style of play. Southampton have a really good man.

Watching Villa Burnley.
Grealish is some player. He finds pockets of space but can also play wide.
Really improved this year.
