I couldn’t have been more wrong about Leicester with my preseason predictions. Obviously still miles to go in the season and plenty of time to get things right but I thought for sure they’d take the next step, consistently entrenched in top 4 from the start of the season.
Ashley Young is a few months older than Wayne Rooney. Wonder what that extra four or five years of playing time is worth to him financially. Probably plenty.

They spent more time in the top 4 the past 2 seasons than any other side. It’s an astonish record by itself, even more so to have contrived to not qualify for the CL even once. I had expected them to collapse last season on the disappointment of not making it the year before, and due to basic regression to the mean. That it didnt happen, and they genuinely looked a better side last year (as in deservedly beat Utd un the run in) made me clueless as to what to expect this season…but when Vardy and Johnny Evans are two of your key players your window for success isnt very wide.
