Premier League 2021/22 (Part 1)

Apologies it was Dean anyhow point stands.

We don’t but we can infer a lot based on a knowledge of how VAR is instructed to be used and what it did (especially when we factor in the routine leeway keepers are given in these circumstances). What we do know is that no matter what the VAR thought of the decision he is not allowed to suggest to the ref that he use the monitor as an opportunity to second guess his original decision.

Glad to see the RSPCA bringing a prosecution. What in the heck were they thinking? That poor cat was getting whacked all over the place.

West Ham fined him the max they could. Then they played him, which I didn’t agree with, but Moyes was honest about it all… didn’t condone what he did, fined to the max, but he plays because he is good and we need the points, or words to that effect.

Hopefully the prosecution will succeed, and the stigma will stick to him.

And just scored.

Klopp again not happy to have the early kick-off after the international break.

Aye not great, but at least it’s at home, and it allows us now to technically go top of the table before City KO at 10am.

Yes he’s biased, but that’s a solid analysis from Souey.

When you do what you’re supposed to do as the favoured team and you dont win most people will say just trust the process, the laws of probability say the result was a fluke, so just shrug and follow the process and next time it will be 3 points. But as Souey says, that is now two games in a short spell where they’ve dropped points despite ostensibly playing pretty close to how they’d have planned to. And now they have a team who has successfully chased them down and continue to just ipck up wins no matter how well they play, including two recent tough away wins in london which would have looked like 2 of our most difficult games on paper.

The best teams wont let it get into their heads, but how many times has this city team come through when put under pressure? Once against us 3 years ago, but they’ve failed more often than not when put in that position.

“Managed to lose to Spurs by dominating the ball…”

We don’t need to win every game, we can afford one draw as long as it isn’t at the Etihad.

It’s definitely that time of the season where I pull out a Spreadsheet to run the predictions and permutations

Trying to figure out how to win the league without having to win at the Emptihad :grimacing:

They draw one game one weekend, we remain perfect means we are one point ahead. That allows a draw against them.

It’s simple, we win all 9 of our remaining games and we win the league.

And in a perfect world, we will also win 3 games in the FA Cup and 5 more in the C/L - no spreadsheet required. You’re welcome
