Premier League 2021/22 (Part 1)

So Lucio must be Joel’s dad.

My highlight of the day.

What a dive by ESR.

They would have done a Bruno even if they got that pen.

I think that might have been the last game I’d have stuck 0-0 on for some reason

I liked what Ralph was building but IMO this collection of players and overall identity looks and feels nothing like a natural transition that advances the direction of his project. If anything, feels like it’s been reset. They look hopeless. Just several random parts with zero identity or spirit.

That second goal for Wolves was superb. Can we sign Mr St Maximan please?

Anyone have any insight as to why there are no noon games on Sundays? I know the noon matches are not popular with the fans, but when has that ever been a concern? There must be something else making that time slot unappealing.

Sunday dinner ?

Showing Scottish PL instead?

Everyone is in Church for Sunday Service

…except those heathen Scots, presumably.

Vardy has touched the ball once in 22 minutes, Palace dominant.

Brentford 1-0, Mbeumo.

I think Leicester might be in trouble this year. Maybe not relegation trouble, but well out of European contention, and solidifying themselves as a mid-table side rather than the at least 5th-8th range club they have been since their title win. It will be slow-building, but I think Rodgers is going to be under mounting pressure.

Too much churn in that Leicester lineup. Madisson off the boil. Meanwhile, Palace pressing them off the football over and over. Impressive energy. My first experience watching Vieira’s team. Impressed thus far.

Spurs 1-0. Hoejbjerg

I don’t know where he will have them finish in the table, but at the very least watching a Palace match now rates higher than a trip to the dentist.
