Premier League 2021/22 (Part 2)

Gerrard could do the double. Have his team lay down for Burnley, resting his players, and then take points off of City. Screw Everton, and City down the stretch, yes please.

Well done Brentford up to 11th in the premier league.

Random comment: Dominic Calvert Lewin is a rather good looking lad

Stevie needs to rest all his first teamers for that one.

Do you know what, I actually hope Utd finish above West Ham…I want to see them get knocked out by FK Suduva or some other macedonia 3rd rate side in the conference league.

Due to our win 7th place gets the Europa Conference League so Man Utd will get a Europa League place

United have to beat Palace away to guarantee that. I can’t see that worthless shower of shite beating anyone at the minute.

Title decider, anyone?

In that scenario, how is the title decided? One game play-off?

Premier League rules state that a 39th match will be used to determine the champions if two sides are level on points, goal difference, goals scored and in the head-to-head results between them.

There’s no chance we’re playing out a nil nil draw at home on the final day of the season if we can still win the league with a win.

So goalless draw on Tuesday and 7-1 vs Wolves?

No, it may be a draw against Wolves, sure, but it definitely wouldn’t be goalless.

Maybe 6-1 v Soton and 2-2 v Wolves with City losing 2-0 to Villa (Ings and Coutinho).

We then pip them by 1 on goals for.

How about we just win our two and Coutinho*
scores a Redknapp type free kick in the 93rd minute to give Villa a draw or win.

*probably be Matty Cash mind.

How ironic would that be: City denied by Cash.

Penalty shoot out :+1:

rock, stone or scissors!

I’m very curious about some in the press who said that City’s draw helped them towards the title today. Unless we score, say, nine against Southampton, then City’s goal remains the same - they have to win three points to secure the title. They won one. And as far as I can tell, there is no way in the EPL to win two points in a single match. So they have to beat Villa on Sunday. That still would have been true if they had lost today.

City losing or drawing helps us. The only negative outcome for us today would have been a City win. But a draw doesn’t help them other than it didn’t change the goal differential.
