The way it looked to me was, he obviously felt threatened and seemed to also react to something that was said to him and only Viera can explain what that was. I think he’s sensible not commenting at this time.

You’ve pretty much hit the nail on the head with all you said. In regards to Billy Sharp, I think he played for Forrest at some point. Maybe he did something when leaving to piss the fans off? (at the end of the day, it doesn’t justify someone headbutting him from behind - but goes towards explaining it partly)
No, they shouldn’t be on the pitch, it’s a criminal offence. I hope nothing like that happens at Anfield on Sunday,it just spoils it for the fans who behave themselves.

It is an offence for a person at a designated football match to go onto the playing area, or any area adjacent to the playing area to which spectators are not generally admitted, without lawful authority or lawful excuse (which shall be for him to prove).

That’s English Law, so used for criminal proceedings against fans (such as the 24 weeks that fella received for assaulting Sharp)
The FA have Rule E20.1, that a Club shall be responsible for ensuring, amongst other things, that its supporters refrain from improper conduct.
I assume that the FA respond through fines, but nothing clear, so likely in their discretion. Deductions of points unlikely for these kinds of things. But Ev will receive some heavy fines, maybe a behind closed doors period.

The commentary I saw described it, literally, as just a couple of fan ruining it for the well behaved ones. It was fucking thousands.
Fines and then limited attendance are the usual punishment here.
