When does the season starts?
The weekend August 6th/7th. Which means the Community Shield game, will take place a week before that.
At this moment Cheaty are already a stronger side than they were this season.
That is early. Now a lot of them have to play 4 meaningless internationals, before they can go on vacation. What a fuckup again.
The start to the new season has been brought forward because of the World Cup, later this year.
Another month of meaningless internationals …
I should have been more clear: to me it is.
Paper is a different prospect to actual.
I’ve always felt we need to start better we had too many slip ups early and I do put it down to the fact VVD was coming back.
Flawless was our 2019-20 run and it has to be that again if you win early.
Well come on I don’t know the SA bloke but Haaland is a proven goalscorer that will help them in matches they struggle.
At this point and the window is not even open so a lot can happen they are ahead to us IMO, hope it changes …
I was mostly referring to him.I really can’t see a team do 101 points so we are talking 7 points here. So these teams are so very little to go.
100 was done with the last kick of the game, City’s weakness isn’t scoring goals so these players might achieve the magical 100 but we are talking fine margins.
To me they’ve replaced Aguero but I don’t expect us to massively drop off without Mane. He might be the key player in that one game its true or he might be injured and the other guy might be meh.
Let’s see how the summer plays out
Not yet but after July 1st yes.
Will say Man City are canny (but you can when you are bankrolled) in getting an understudy. I assume they want him for the games when teams don’t roll over so that’s about 6 of them.
I’m holding on to the idea that it could take Man City a while to adjust to playing with a proper striker.
To be fair my Leicester city friend wants us to win it if not them.
There are some fans out there.
At the beginning of this just completed
season, Manure was a stronger side than the previous season.
Just saying.
We’ll see.
-
Haaland has been fantastic, but big name signings fail all the time. Is he more of a sure thing than Schevcenko or Veron? How effective in the Prem was the last wonder kid from the Bundesliga?
-
Walker has been massively important to them enabling the way they play, but now at his age (just turned 32) and with recent run of muscular injuries might be at a tipping point in his reliability and effectiveness.
-
Gundogan and Jesus are reported to be unlikely to be around next year. Both have been under the radar important and played enormous roles in winning the title last past year.
City will look to strengthen every year, so I’m no more concerned about them than I am any year. They are already so good that you have to hit a home run to improve it or even sustain that level as you try to move the pieces around. I think specifically about De Bruyne, and think he’s likely too good to be effected by anything that happens with the other 10 players, but was some of his productivity this year enabled by the lack of real striker? Does the presence of Haaland force him into a different role where he isnt able to have as direct a goal threat?
I think that additional sentence should be scratched by 10 cats for 180 hours.
This is really good from Wolves, it’s the second year in a row that they do this at the end of the season.
Questions on everything in and around the club, every aspect of it. Of course you get a lot of PR rubbish in answers, but at least there’s something towards the fans, so that they know a bit more where the club is at and where they’re going.
July 30: Manchester United vs. Atletico Madrid, (Ullevaal Stadium, Oslo)
This is a weird one. Why not play at Manchester or Madrid?
