Even acknowledging my bias, I think that’s a pretty fair reflection of the season, but wonder what we can take from the fact that we lost out to City yet have 3 more players in this side than they do. It’s certainly not that we’re carrying players the way we had to for our 2008-09 and 13-14 runs, but I do think it points to how interchangable so many of City’s pieces are…collectively they are a 90+ point side, but individually few of them really excel or are sufficiently better than the other players Pep can pick that they nail down a spot in the side the same way so many of our 6 have.

What we take from it, I think, is that a lot of premier league players think City players are cunts whereas our lads are sound.

I know things like this aren’t factored in but Rudiger doesn’t play in a 2 man defence and he should be in the right with van Dijk on the left.

I was going to add that but didn’t want to say anything. Not sure why it’s automatically determined that it’s a 4-3-3 either. BBC just regularly fuck these things up. What most annoys me is when they do the whole pick your XI thing and they don’t allow players to be selected in certain areas of the pitch notwithstanding that they play there. Planks.

At this point I have some issues with the media on this.
I’ve seen this mentioned a few times now, who the hell was rating Weghorst? It felt like one of those Fifa signings you do when you need a striker as cover knowing he won’t play and will want out at the end of the season.
