Premier League 2021/22 (Part 2)

Well, FFP tried but lost to the CAS lol! What can they do more???

For all the talk about how brilliant City have been this season if we win the FA Cup and the CL we will have by far the better season.

Hard to beat 84, surely?

People can talk all night about the Brentford and Brighton games and how they cost us the league but they really didn’t. They are just typical results all title winning sides have suffered since time began.
Chris Kavanagh has decided where the title is ending up this season, it’s as simple as that. If he wasn’t a cheat, if he wasn’t corrupt, if he wasn’t as fucking bent as a dog’s back leg then we’d be a point clear tonight and on the way to another deserved title. Forget De Bruyne, this fucking manc cunt is the difference.
I genuinely believe somebody from our football club should call this cunt out for what he is, be it Jurgen Klopp, John Henry or Tom Werner. Hang him out to dry. Make his position basically untenable. Fuck the media and whatever nonsense they throw at us, his cheating at Goodison and Spurs is clear as day, nobody can look at those incidents and put up a reasonable argument for them.
Expose the cunt.

Idk Peaches, I was about 2 years old.

The Premier League have actively welcomed it. They could have stopped City at any time. They could have been wise to the doping and recognised that it would destroy the competitiveness of the league. They chose to turn a blind eye.

You probably right about Kavanagh. But what do you honestly expect to happen if the club does what you want? We’ll puff our chests out for about ten minutes, the club will get some sort of unprecedented fine, possible legal action from PGMOL, we’ll become a pariah club, and Kavanagh will carry on with barely a feather ruffled.

How do people rate Vardy in the all time elite Prem strikers?

13th best in PL standings interms of strikers’ goals. 14th overall as Lampard has more. Ofcourse, goals per 90 will put him in a different place on the last.

Disagree strongly.

The bloke’s a total fraud.

Beat fraud of all time then. He’s won everywhere he’s been, and he knows how to put a team together that is nigh unbeatable, especially over a league season. Just having unlimited funds isn’t enough - look at the absolute fucking state of United the last ten years. He’s a cunt, and he could never do what he does on a tighter budget, but give the devil his due. He does what he does better than anyone else in the world at the minute.

Been at the richest clubs wherever he’s managed (with possibly Real Madrid in Spain the exception).

Hasn’t won the Champions League in years, despite the vast wealth at his disposal.

Why? He overcomplicates things. Thinks he’s better than he actually is.

Has never taken over a ā€œmiddlingā€ club and built them up. Klopp pisses all over him, frankly.

I don’t disagree with any of that, but it still takes immense talent to manage the teams and win as much as he has. Klopp pisses all over him for sure, but they’re just different managers. Pep has a well defined style and he knows how to get players to play that style to perfection. Again, being at the richest club isn’t everything, you still have to have enough about you to get them winning as relentlessly as Pep teams do.

He’s one of the top managers in world football at the minute, but he still a cunt.

tbf I don’t see Klopp doing this anytime soon either.

Ok West Ham, do you want EL or ECL? Mind you, we would probably have to spank Wolves and Southampton rather than hope for a AV favour.

Then that is what we shall hope for. And if City beat West Ham and we beat the saints, then we shall hope for Villa to turn them over on the final day and for us to smash Wolves.

A treble would be the closest quad in history, and will only be bettered by someone that actually does the quad.

But….

Perhaps the benefits alignment between the individuals at the PL and competitiveness of the competition itself is not there lol!

I’m kind of a bit down to be honest. A team literally needs to close to perfect to win the league at the moment.

It also doesn’t help that most teams just roll over when they play City, not that city can’t dominate or they are undeserving of victory, but teams just automatically accept it’s a loss and don’t even try.

When there is such a deep disparity with available resources, the complete lack of accountability where even if the EPL or UEFA find evidence against City, there team of lawyers will just get them out of it regardless. Not sure how much Haaland will earn, but it will be considerable.

It’s getting to the point where you start wondering if it’s even worth challenging for the league and instead just focus on the cups.

I know that sound defeatist as we all still in two cup finals with the potential to add number 7 to our trophy cabinet.

But I dunno. Probably just need to process.

And you are probably right in your summation of what would happen. But the fact remains that big decisions like those referenced by @jaffod have changed the season. And City, the high finance cheats will probably win another title.
