Premier League 2021/22 (Part 2)

Somehow Klopp has been. He may only have 1 league but I don’t think any other manager in the world could have won any against City in the same time.

Yeah he and the team have done brilliantly and they won’t get their rewards due to a team cheating their way to titles with brown envelopes.

5-1

Well I’m not going to cry about it, that’s what the mancs and the blueshite want so they can call us “victims” again.

We’re winning trophies regularly, that’s enough for me to be proud and happy.

14 goals in 3 games. This league is a joke.

I’ve been saying this for a few years now. the lack of a goal scoring threat from distance results in a low block that doesn’t have to come out and press the ball carrier at 25-30 yards.

So we need West Ham now or do us a favour. They look knackered.

I am sure Klopp and his staff will take a look at where we fell short and will try to correct things.

For example the 6 draws against City, Chelsea and Spurs. Big points lost.

Because we always used to dominate the table between the Top6 clubs.

Fair enough, but there is surely a sense of injustice that a properly run club, who abide by FFP and are recording unreal points totals are shafted out of titles by finance cheats?

Wolves had 2 really big shouts for penalties and both were treated with a whimper.

Still, Jurgen is going to take Ralf (the one without the shit jumpers) out on the piss and Southampton will respond with a textbook case of conceding 10 against us. Divok with a double perfect hattrick

Yeah first time in a few years we haven’t done great against those teams.
The home draw v Brighton when 2 up was pretty shit as well but we are expecting us to be great or win every week and it’s not possible but with city about we have to get 90+ points every year which is crazy.

Tierney on VAR. Theres the answer

Yeah, I think while Pep is at City, you need to be looking at minimum 95 points in a season - including taking points off City - in order to win it. That’s absolutely mental. You basically have to fuck off the domestic cups early on in order to have a chance - so that fact that we’ve run them as close as we have while getting to 3 cup finals is an absolutely mindblowingly amazing accomplishment.

Our top five form this season was pretty bad but we still didn’t lose any of those matches, which is alright, I guess. It turns out that title was lost when we dropped the points from winning positions against Brighton and Brentford. Hopefully the next season will be an improvement - some more steel and control in midfield and no significant injuries would be great.

It’s these Brighton, Brentford, and the one v 10 men Chelsea that simply haunt me the most. The rest I can live with, as ebb and flow to a season.

8 draws in total on the season. Perhaps oversimplified a bit, but 8 points taken however 16 left on the table.

Obvs doesn’t take away from how proud of the boys I am, just from my humble corner of the world those 3 draws haunt me most.

In a way that’s Probably better than a close win. We can rotate for Soton in my view now as I don’t think the title is on anymore.

It will all depend on the West Ham score. I imagine we only see heavily rotated line ups in our remaing games if they stretch the goal difference with a big win. If they draw or lose Klopp will want to ensure a win at Soton to take it to the final day.

That happens and we dream of Coutinho scoring a 94th minute equaliser as we stroll to a conformable win against Wolves.

Villa are too shit to hold on for 94 minutes.

This is the night I accept it.

Bring the two cups home.

We can accept its over based on our gut feeling or decide to wait till its mathematicaly over. Doesnt really matter what we think. I expect Klopp to do the latter.

Football is a strange thing. A game can change on a moment. A red card, a early goal, an injury.

A long as we win No.7 i will be content. Disappointed forsure that the PL wasnt won. Ofcourse, i want the FA Cup. Been too long.

A treble is still a treble at the end of the day.

If we can somehow do it, it would be the best season perhaps in our history?
