Premier League 2021/22 (Part 2)

Fair play to Wolves here, they’ve not given up.

Surprising amount of positives to take from this given the score. Im looking at Fernandinho’s complete inability to go with runners and the space in behind and thinking of how much the likes of Watkins and Antonio will be able to get out of thisedefense even if Wolves cannot get any more here.

Quadruple KDB

We all are. Except for @Walshy07, @Nikola, @Dutch and a few others.

It’s the hope that kills you, but I don’t mind dying for this year’s team. they’ve been fantastic and we should all believe until the bitter end.

How on earth was that not a penalty? The slightest incidental touch on the ball tat does not dispossess Neto is apparently enough to justify fully cleaning him out?

That would imply they take joy in winning.

Remember when we lost the CL final and they made up a version of Allez Allez Allez to slag us off?

Such a small-time club.

Speaking from personal experience, people who sometimes look negative to others actually hope the hardest (if that can be said in English).

Problem with this title race is that it reminded me too much of combination of 2008/09 and 2018/19 - I was afraid it was going to end the same way. We lost some silly points along the way but I can’t get over that stupid loss to Leicester - that was when I started to feel that it wouldn’t be our year.

Still, if we can’t be the first, I’ll always take finishing second to the richest club and the most expensive team of all time, who cheat their way to wins and get help from referees in key moments, while drubbing Man United and Everton.

I mean look - We’ll have finished with 90+ points in 3 of the last 4 seasons, and we’ll only have one PL title to show for it. It’s an absolute cunt, but that is what it is. There’s no shame in not winning the title in these years, because we’ve been up against - as you correctly point out - the riches club and most expensive squad of all time, led by one of the best managers of all time. Won’t stop me from hoping until it’s mathematically impossible for us to win the league, and I’ll be screaming from the top of my lungs during both the finals, hoping we can at least hoover up all the other available trophies.

I just don’t see the point in coming on here and constantly being a downer, telling everyone it’s already over, or sarcastically asking “Where are all these tricky games for City then?” It’s a cunty thing to do when the rest of us just want to live in the belief that our team can still win the league.

Thats the kind of shit that deserves hall of shame status.

I think the 3 cup finals have made up for the league especially if we win them all.

It’s a worry going forward because if not for us no one can touch city and that’s only going to get worse with Haaland coming in.
The premier league is turning into the French and German league.

Here I agree with you completely. The PL are a fucking disgrace for allowing this to happen, and when the viewership numbers inevitably drop as a result, they can fuck off and cry on UEFA’s shoulder for all I care.

Highlight of the night, Sterling trying to knock the post over lol

So far Lfc have dropped only 22 points from 108 available.
That’s insane and it probably won’t be enough to win a league.
When united and Arsenal were dominating they weren’t getting these numbers.
We are getting 90 plus points for 3 of last 4 seasons and have only 1 title.
How do you compete with city’s money and squad? You can’t.
On top of all that we have to deal with teams just not bothering when they play City.
Thank goodness for palace and spurs or this season would’ve been over a month ago

We’re running them extremely fucking close though. That’s a testament in itself when you look at the comparable budgets and the sheer financial might of City’s backers.

Still, I reckon if we win the CL twice in that timespan, Pep and the ADUG would trade all of their PL wins since Pep came on board for those CL titles. The cunts.
