Its a little frustrating that we didnt make any moves for Botman or Guimaraes, both of whom had been linked with us for quite a while.

I know it doesnt really mean anything but when I did the statistical breakdown of midfielders across Europe, Guimaraes was in the top 5 (I actually think he was number 1 but my memory is hazy) compared to our current midfielders. Not sure why our talent scouts wouldnt have been keen on him. Guimaraes and Botman look like to two players who will still be there in a few years when all the new money guys start arriving.
