Varane out until after world cup.

Another sick note.

This was known, one of the reasons why Madrid let him go.

Players sliding in to make a block are more likely to be viewed as making an action towards the ball than a player would in a situation like the Jota-Gabriel incident. I understand people can feel it’s unfair, but the defender made a decision to throw himself at the ball so arguments they couldnt do anything about it dont fly the way it does for a defender standing his ground and having the ball blasted that him. If you allow a player to slide like that and block the ball with their arm, materially aiding their ability to defend the situation with an outstretched arm and don’t call it, then balance of unfairness is tipped towards the attacker.

It’s what makes the Zouma goal so absurd. Yes the lad’s arm was down by his side, but he threw himself at the ball and it was contact with his arm that kept the ball alive.

End of season bet is in place.

What I like is that more or less every single selection is a 50/50 other than PSG winning the cup which is 99%

Good luck!

Does this mean it’ll be easier to get Caiceido?

Haaland out v. Leicester, and Rodgers tosses 3 CB’s onto the pitch. Let’s see what comes of Leicester’s newfound defensive solidity.

Vardy first touch is on 17 minutes.

Leicester conceded 9 corner kicks in that half but conceded zero goals defending them. Unthinkable just a few weeks ago.

Still just 1-0 in 71st min

Switched the game on, $hitty leading 1-0. Thought I’d watch for a bit.

Leicester get the ball after around 5 mins of defending, and Tielemans got a rare chance to carry the ball forward while $hitty on the back foot.

KdB pops up to do the usual $hitty tactic to stop a counter, with a wild challenge that should get a yellow even if it wasn’t done to stop Leicester from taking advantage of the transition.

Of course, all yous know what the result was. Just a free kick and no yellow. $hitty get players back in position.

City a lot more mortal without those Haaland moments of brilliance.

De Bryne just made 3 separate attempts to stop the keeper starting a counter, two of them kicks, and the ref said play on. Fucking outrageous

Another solid performance by Danny Ward. He looks really confident now.

Yup. Can do so when early in the second half:

Goes unsaid each game by the media. In tight games where the game is won by one goal, this is how $hitty step over the line. Say they have around 5 games a season where it could go either way. These dark arts unpunished take them over the line in those tight seasons.

You can guarantee had one of ours done the same, they’d be in the books first time.

Wouldn’t mind 1 bit every home team winning today.

Brighton score after Chelsea clear 2 shots off the line.
