It looked exactly as disjoined and aimless as it looks on paper. Fred and McTominay in midfield is a creative void, but you could put Pirlo in that midfield and he still wouldnt have any decent creative options to hit with those 4 forwards just standing around.

What has happened to Rashford? In the first half, he just ran up and down the touchline. That’s it.
And the start of the second he mis-controls a simple pass and it goes out of play.
With no striker, it makes more sense to me to play him through the middle.
