Premier League 2022/23 (Part 1)

Moreno to Watkins again.

Quality.

Bugger. I was hoping that would be given. Villa need to up their tempo or Newcastle will come back and win this.

Still can’t believe those fuckers won 5 in a row.

Eh? Ah, I see. Glad to see a team following my advice.

Beautiful defending from Newcastle.

Worse than us this season.

Moreno has terrorised Trippier today, he can’t get near him.

Wouldn’t it be poetic for Emery to lead Aston Villa to Europa League and then win it the next year?

I remember some reliable journalist reporting that our club were interested in Watkins a year or two ago. I remember feeling underwhelmed about it but he proved me wrong, alright.

Same, I used to think he was a bit one dimensional and had similar issues with him as I did Werner.

His hold up play looks really good now and he’s a threat in the air too. Turning into a very good player.

Chelsea could (and did) do much worse when spending their billions.

Would he want a 8 year contract?

Watkins 3.

No idea what Pope is doing lol.

Nick Pope masterclass

Newsandcastle getting smashed today

Watching this match, it seems uncanny the sense Villa players have for each other’s whereabouts. So many blind, searching, clever passes always seeming to find their man. Impressive performance.

Please don’t sing Allez Allez Allez…

If Villa maintain this form they could end up in the top four. All you got to do is win, win, win.

Well they play Spurs, Brighton and Man Utd. (Brentford, Wolves, Us and Fulham).

They’ve got a tough run but it at the moment seems to be ridden quite well.

We used to do that rather well, remember those days?

Last season?

Loads of people can’t even remember beyond the last 5 seconds, let alone the last season.

Watkins has also grown into a decent playmaker. Six assists for the season to go with fourteen goals. I hope he stays at Villa. Playing for a great manager on a team that’s on the up.
