I can honestly say that Iāve not bought anything in my life because it was on a football hoarding or a football shirt. I think that I read somewhere years ago that most advertising is just a way to writ off taxes? Does anybody believe that Standard Chartered are our shirt sponsors because they think itāll drum up custom for them? Iām not going to get addicteld to investment banking in the same way that I didnāt become an alcoholic when Carlsberg were our main sponsors.
People who are addicted to gambling will gamble whether they see adverts or not.

I would say the issue is advertising during the game.

There are loads of things that seem obviously wrong, but yet they are somehow real phenomena. The effect of advertising is certainly one where psychological evidence does point towards some efficacyā¦
I know the method of Subliminal advertising was banned by some countries a while ago, but apparently, it can still be used legally in certain circumstances. Seeing advertising hoardings as a background message, as TV monitors momentarily, scan the name/product, I suppose is a more āin your faceā version.
