Premier League 2022/23 (Part 1)

Well I got each team to score :joy:

yeah well, we had an easy game against Bournemouth and 5 other easy games against relegation fighting teams.

They almost lost to Leeds today, had Leeds not missed that penalty.

If our league position is again to be determined on the last day, chances are we’ll get it this time, as we’ve done our part and not gotten the needed results (ie won the league) on either 2 or 3 occasions in the last few years.

Good point …it’s looking like Chelsea will determine who gets the CL spot since they’re playing both Newcastle and MancU

Any chance of them putting Ponchettino in early.

A bounce would be useful.

So long Soton. 11 years. That was a good run for them. For at least the first half of it they were a mine of talent for other clubs. Think of the names who went through there. Shaw, Lallana, Lovren, Calum Chambers, Schneiderliln, Nat Clyne, Mane, Wanyama, VVD, Hojbjerg. Lately, the pickings haven’t been as rich. They must have had a decent front office to sell so much talent poached and still stay up.

Ralph did very well under difficult circumstances I do wonder if some clubs at some point need the parachute payments and a reinvention.

Could go two ways though wouldn’t surprise me if they are top 6 next year or even better.

Think they had three years where they finished 7th, 6th and then 8th.

Some I would fear for if they go down.

I think Leicester would be fine, not sure about Forest then again 21 players should generate cash. Leeds haven’t invested massively and Bamford is probably worth a bit. Everton I think would find it hard especially if they had a penalty. Could easily see all 3 back but it is only 2 automatic and one usually struggles.

Southampton had Livramento injured all season and for some reason loaned out Nathan Tella, who impressed last season, while keeping the likes of Walcott.

Tella went and scored 17 for Burnley and likely won’t want to return to Southampton now.

So, assuming we win our final 3 games, Newcastle and the mancs each need 2 wins from their last 3 games to assure top 4 status.
I reckon one of them will bottle it.

Think it would be important for one of them to drop points in their next game.

That would mean they have to win the last two and that’s ultimate pressure.

Newcastle looked a bit knackered yesterday and they play Brighton on Thursday and then Leicester on Sunday.

With that all said - I’m not having the best feeling for tomorrow night. Anyone remember what happened the last time we went to Leicester?

Can both teams lose please.

What’s up with Onana? Second straight match he starts on the bench.

Rubbish performance from City so far. Given the blueshite far too much encouragement.

That’s more like it. Hell of a finish.

Some goal by Gundogan.

If Pickford stands still he probably catches it, the twat face.

Want the thugs to rattle into these today… They play RM midweek, so a few aches and pains might just be enough to tip the contest Ancelotti’s way
