These Toon lads (as they are playing right now) would give us a pretty intense game. Not looking forward.

Have to admit, that was a smart finish by Wilson, didn’t try to shoot hard.

Very, very good transitions and counter attacks from Newcastle

They gave us an intense game last season. We’ve won 1-0. a few days later they bent over for City and lost 5-0

This year maybe the opposite.

Cancelo bailed out Ederson (who lost his head, chicken style), but not to worry, as Wilson has banged one in to take the lead.

But those non yellow card fouls will come into play later in the game, when $hitty will exploit it.

Would be nice to have a normal title race for a change so I don’t feel existential doom when Liverpool don’t win every single game.

They aren’t that good defensively. Also, this style will give us space to utilize.

Yep. Still fuming about that. It looked like we showed City their weaknesses.

Come on Dan Burn

Never thought I’d say this but we should sign Joelinton.

Harvey & Trent to carve them open, we just need shooting boots for Mo, Darwin and Luis.

City will bring on Haaland in the second half. :grinning:

Dream on…

That was a very good 45 minutes.

Sometimes when I’m waiting for VAR pen decision I get feeling the refs are chatting:

City:
“We must find something to give them pen”

L’pool:
“We must find something to not give them pen”
