Premier League 2022/23 (Part 1)

It’s an area of the game I just don’t understand the prevailing perspective. Stones challenged for the ball, got no where it and clattered an opponent. But because it was an aerial challenge its no foul, and there will be no controversy because not only are these never given, the lack of a foul is almost never even questioned. I just dont understand why the rules are applied so differently when going for a header.
