Premier League 2023/24 (Part 1)

Let’s not take out the frustration at the wrong people. Maddison has been quality this season and while playing for an over matched side still created their first goal

Spot on. Can relieve all those moments again. Leaves a bitter taste in our mouth. Easily 2 more titles had refereeing been fair - that’s not an unreasonable ask right and that’s what referee’s are for in the first place. We might still win the league this time. it’s not about the winning or losing its about the cheating that causes anxiety and bitterness. Will go to bed with a heavy heart. Good night guys!!

Sorry but when he was on the field and we were down to 10 and then 9 men he was average. Hes been quality is stretching it a lot 2 big games for Spurs and has been not good at all.

Three more. There’s 2013-14 too.

The last one we won, we were so dominant and opened up a huge lead so quickly they couldn’t influence anything

Not really, Arsenal are more of a threat.

I really don’t think any of them are.

I seriously expected them to be better than that today.

The only threat to us, as has been demonstrated today, is the officiating.

Oh yeh, showed big character to win against 9 men and the help of the worst display of refereeing, you’re ever likely to see. But that’s probably not true because one of the useless twats is bound to top that in the near future.

There’s been only seven rounds of games this season and there’s been at least one big controversy in each round of games. Clearly the PL/FA aren’t competent or willing to ensure consistency and transparency of the match officials.

It’s high time the clubs (barring some obvious ones), media, and others associated with football start pushing for the Independent Regulator in English football.

There’s no such thing when such vast sums of money are involved.

What the fuck will this accomplish?

At the very least, he won’t be screwing those two teams over?

It’s in nobody’s interest to screw over those two teams. They do that themselves

Suspended on full pay no doubt…

I know it won’t happen but yesterday was egregious enough that this match should be abandoned and replayed.

I don’t see how the officials can sit through the time immediately after cocking up the offside call, half time and a full second half knowing they’ve disallowed a goal so egregiously that should have stood and apparently not be able to do anything?

They could have called it back even after the restart after the offside call… they could have said at half time ‘we’ve properly bollocksed this and should abandon it’ if it was for some reason not possible to just go back and award the goal without the a pic on the big screen showing the lines.

There was so much time to fix the mistake but they chose not to.

There needs to be big pressure for the audio to be released as soon as possible.

Yep…whose to say we couldn’t have ended up with our go to score of 3:1

This x1000. Sick of them never having to explain themselves and act the big man just to later hide away from any direct scrutiny.
