Remove Luton from that the teams we have faced have been rather tough.
Brighton, Newcastle and Spurs along with Chelsea being the opening day.
Spurs we were screwed, Brighton we should have won and were in a position to do so.
We didn’t play poorly that first half we basically should have been 3 up.
I had thought about our finishing for a few games but it hasn’t much mattered.
If you believed a title chase was on then perhaps I can see why you are gutted but I’m comfortable. That 4.30pm kick off on a Sunday seems our new Achilles heal.
After a tough midweek where our plans were thrown up a bit against a team that hasn’t been keeping it tight at home none of it surprises me.
Major error for me was Klopp not going to the bench sooner. On another day they’ve done enough in that first half to be able to coast.
They’re playing well but getting all the breaks — not sustainable over the course of the season at this frequency (wait until Son is out for a few games). Haven’t been to Anfield, Old Trafford, or played City at all. Arsenal looked infallible (if not Invincible) with 50 points at halfway last year, we saw how that ended. They’ll still be top 4 in all likelihood, but I’m curious to see how they react to their first defeat.
