Or due to our “blowing up” fewer games, i.e. not being as crap as other teams.
I suppose so, hey? Villa marching up the table. City faltering, Spurs being spursy. Arsenal looks strongest of the bunch currently.
on current form (last 10 games) we are second behind Villa, tie with Arsenal only +1 on GD. We can cherrypick our stats to suit arguments.
We don’t have to be the best team in the history of the Premier League, we just have to be the team with the most points at the end of this season.
Actually we dont have to be that even. I don’t think a genuine title challenge was on many people’s mind at the start of the season, given that we had to introduce literally an entire new midfield. Even gettijg close to winning the league would be ahead of schedule for Klopp “2.0”.
Maybe based on pre-season expectations. But i’ve seen enough of us and everyone else to still think that we’re winning this bastard
Just noticed that Forest have sacked Cooper which feels a bit harsh. Maybe a case of careful what you wish for?
Nottingham Forest sack Steve Cooper after poor Premier League run - Nottingham Forest sack Steve Cooper after poor Premier League run - BBC Sport
I can understand the argument both ways.
I think last season it would have been really nasty, but a lot of money has gone into that club and team and they look worse.
Though I’m shocked they didn’t wait for us to face them
I didnt cherrypick the stats, SKY did.
I suppose its better than broad statements like not being able to break a low block for eight years.
The chances created both at Luton and against Man Utd should have been enough.
I had noticed the wastefulness in games we haven’t won and it did worry me.
We were quite clinical at times last season but we were so bad in defence it didn’t matter.
There’s no midweek game or international break for that early kick-off, but it’s really starting to piss me off. It’s a dreadful time for a match - it just buggers up the whole day.
Not if you’re in AEDT
Almost like there is some bias towards us, no? Well, fuck them and get the three points anyway. The positive is that they can give us no more than one additional 12.30 match (I would guess no other PL team will have more than 3 early Saturday kick-off times).
Agreed- it clashes with the racing.
It is actually my favourite game time, but seldom my favourite games
It ruins the weekend if you lose, absolutely brilliant if you win.
I’d probably rather play midday there than in the evening mind.
07:30 game time is an ideal time for you. still have the entire day once it’s over
I could say the same about 04:30, but who the fuck gets up at that ungodly hour for a football match. the Vancouver OSC actually opens the pub for those games, although I can’t imagine the owners are particularly happy about having to staff it this many times this year.
Positive is we’ve actually played there enough we are starting to get results there.
If there is really no international break, no European football, no midweek PL match, no FA or League Cup than the early kick off is not an issue and I’m sure Klopp will agree.
But how come there are no games in that midweek?
12:30 against Brentford might be a blessing in disguise, we’ve been crap against them in the later time slot.
