Premier League 2023/24 (Part 1)

Booked for diving though it’s not really a dive. :joy:

He sent himself to the ground, not a classic dive, but he was clearly trying to solicit a penalty

Coote’s losing this a bit, though he was asleep last night it seemed.

Our result looks better and better there.

Tick tock Poch, tick tock.

Sneaky look at Robert Plant in the crowd, followed by Lemina saying “let’s fucking go!” into the camera and NBC apologizing. What a fantastic minute of TV.

Like at this point you wonder what would tip the balance for him.

Players who pick up their 5th yellow card this week will be suspended at the weekend. After that they are safe until the 10th yellow card, right?

We play Newcastle after Burnley. Joelinton and Longstaff are on 4 yellow cards and they play Forest tomorrow.

Nunez is on four I belief as well.

Would make sense as it’s the 19th game.

Endo is also on 4th

Soft Pen for Newcastle

Barely contact, although with the turn he was trying it perhaps would not take much. Real time I thought it was a complete dive.

Aina’s an idiot though, that’s about the 3rd bad decision he’s made in this game already.

Keeper should have had that!

edit: he shifted his body weight the wrong way initially, which cost him the margin he needed. Not a great penalty.

Question is: Would we have gotten that soft ass penalty?

Answer: No fucking way!

Nuno definitely needs adding to the Sack Race thread. Not that this is his fault, but Forest look worse than under Cooper. I didn’t get any sense that Cooper had lost the team.

Sangare hasn’t really done anything to prove the big clubs wrong for passing on him, has he?

Has to score there

Was that much of a question? He isn’t a kid, and a career track of going to the Eredivisie after your Ligue 1 side is relegated doesn’t sound compelling. I had not heard of him before he moved to Forest.

There were lots of links with him and pretty much every big club in Europe, after he had a good run for PSV in the Europa League. It was considered a bit of a coup when Forest got him but, just like Amrabat, it currently seems like top sides just identified weaknesses thatbthey couldn’t overlook - namely being slow as hell.

The only thing that seems notable about his numbers is a creditable number of goals for a DM, presumably a good shot?
