He probably gets away with that one because the Forest player didnât cash it in. Impressive sequence from Trippier. All but earns a yellow card, then watches a Forest attacker run free into the box and does nothing.

The ref showed advantage. If that attack ends in a goal kick or corner he would have shown Trippier a yellow card.
As far as I know conceding a goal doesnât save you from seeing yellow there.

If the Forest player goes down, it is a yellow all the way. He stayed up, so it isnât much of anything except futilely cynical contact. Once the player stayed up and was able to accelerate away, there isnât really much of a foul there. There was more intent than foul.
