Onana was putting his arm there to protect his face more than anything to do with balance I think.
Considering the emphasis on concussions and long term affects of heading the ball, you’d think a rule was in place that said ‘if someone’s arm blocks the ball from hitting their head after it’s been blasted from 3 yards away, it’s not a penalty’
That would complicate a rule that is already complicated enough.
