Premier League 2023/24 (Part 1)

had to sneak over to the Sheffield forum. I really wanted to find out how one grieves being 5-0 down before halftime

Like against Porto

The thing with Arsenal is you know they’re going to run out of steam eventually. They’ll go on these crazy streaks of battering sides for a while, then they’ll just inexplicably stop being able to score and start shitting the bed against average oppo. Maybe that’s no longer the case, and I’m sure their fans are loving life at the moment, but I just don’t see them as credible contenders for the league.

Usually, these games have one shock half and then another where there are less goals. Usually that is. I don’t think this will end 9 or 10 to 0. 7-0 maybe.

i call 8-0

I think they are contenders (too late in the season not to take them seriously imo), but I don’t think they are as strong as us and City in the end. But I generally agree with you.

I am with you… it is city that I fear the most…arsenal is just too emotional for me

Disagree mate. I think they look the part  Rather them than the Lance Armstrong of football anyway!

This is great for us.

Momentum is a hell of a drug, and they will go to the Emptihad in a few weeks with the confidence of a runaway freight train.

Very plausible. Would not shock me if Sheffield some how flukes a goal on counter or deadball in the second half either tbh. Teams 5-0 up at the break, tends to not be able to finish the massacre and relax a bit (still slaughter of course).
Of course, I am generalising and something unexpected may happen and we get to see 12-0,but I doubt it !

There is a rule on this from a guy on Twitter where you have to score or outscore the amount you score in the first.

Very rarely happens, I think Bournemouth was when it happened to us.

I think it’s a combination of them hitting form and also hitting a bunch of shockingly bad sides. Brentford sort of bookmarks that and then in April they get tougher, if they were to win those 3-4 goals to 0 I might change my mind.

End of the day… if we win our 11 league games no one can do anything about it and that includes spanking Sheffield United 9-10-0

Before the season started I said there were 6 championship level teams in the PL.,
Sadly I was wrong.

Sheffield Utd belongs in League One

Have to say Luton are a credit to promotion, who says the playoffs shouldn’t happen?

The rest nah.

I’d like Luton to stay up, because they deserve it, but the rest of them can go and get their faces fucked as far as I care.

Sort of seems like they are anyhow…

Gunna reward himself with a lovely new spray tan tomorrow after that

I’m not watching but I know who you mean.

This could be the first time in Premier League the same 6 sides have been promoted and relegated and relegated and promoted in consecutive seasons.

Ipswich trying to spoil it.

Good luck to them to be fair. Leroy Rosenior doing well at Hull, did expect them to be good, he seemed to be a good pundit on the championship football show.

Edit: Liam sorry.
