Where have we gone?

it’s from last year

Oh :joy:

Why the hell would a side in a title race with a 5-0 lead at the half against a relegation certainty still be playing all but one of their starters?

PEDs?

Mate…

They’re a far better team than last season though. Hopefully, getting Salah and the others back from injury will give us the added boost to keep our noses in front!

Yeah, I find the commitment to finding ways to dismiss and demean them when they are clearly an excellent side with a newly earned bit of mettle pretty odd.

But I see Partey is back for them now. If they find themselves asking each other the question “do we have what it takes to get over the line this year” they at least now have someone back who wont take “no” for an answer. Allegedly.

Not watching the arsenal game but did martinelli pick up an injury?

Yeah, but you can’t count on a collapse, imo. There is history of such and you can discount them personally if you want to, but I am not going to do that. I have said many times that I think we and City are stronger in the run up and that I find it likely that Arsenal will falter at the death, but I am not sure of it and I take them seriously.

Sheffield United are leaving this comeback a bit late, I reckon.

Yeah, I wasn’t far off regarding the second half to put it like that. Humble brag

We would be wrong to write them off but then I feel too many are too quick to write us off at times.

Looking at the remaining fixtures, I swear it always feels like City get a relatively straightforward finish to the season. Those last four fixtures are really favourable compared to us and Arsenal.

Listening to Thierry Henry talking about being a striker is always a pleasure. The player above anyone else I wish had played for us.

Our April isn’t too bad compared to their ones.

Our run in is quite difficult, at least two are at Anfield.

Villa away in the penultimate game is probably our toughest remaining game on paper. With any luck, they’ll have 4th place all sewn up by then and won’t beneeding the points from us.

Our April isn’t awful on paper but I still think it’s really important that we beat City and have that four point buffer. Some tough aways in there, obviously including the two derby matches. We have to still be ahead of them after they play Spurs otherwise I think it’s unlikely anybody else does us a favour from there.

From a mate of mine from Sheffield:

“They bring Chris back and gave him shite to work with!”

90 points should be enough this time to get the title done.

Remains to be seen how we do get over that line. We do need to beat Man City to get them to stumble. They can be got at.
