I personally find him a bit fake.
Saw that most of my fantasy players had good days…then I go to see the Arsenal game on reddit without knowing the result since Ramsdale was the only one I didn’t know. Saw the first minute or so and went “oh fuck off Ramsdale!”

I agree.
Doesn’t matter if the commentator is male or female.
But we are allowed to have equity both ways. Its only fair to offer the same level of critique irrespective of gender.
IMO she is a poor commentator, monotonous and lacking spark.
Nothing, if it’s done for meritocratic reasons. Given the huge increase in the numbers of female presenters, commentators, pundits etc recently, an awful lot of women have got an awful lot better of late………

Which is possibly true. Isha Gua (spelling?) is a fabulous cricket commentator, I enjoy her tremendously. The current football ladies, not so much with the honourable exception of Kelly Kates and Clare Boulding.

Football punditry as a whole is shite.
Some of the female ones I’ve heard have been poor, but that is no different to the male ones. You can count the decent male pundits on one hand.
BT sport have had broadcasts in which Carlton Cole, Joe Cole and Ashley Cole (wtf?) have all been on air, between the 3 of them they can just about string a sentece together. Robbie Savage…woeful at everything to do with broadcasting.
Yeah, Karen Carney is terrible, but she’s just adhering to the standards set by her male colleagues.
As per the example above, the level of commentating and punditry in cricket is light years ahead of football. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a white middle aged man or a woman of south asian descent, the standards are much higher.
