Emma Hayes is usually decent
Frankly, like @ILLOK I find all football commentary rather daft anyway.
Usually stick to mute and Radio 3.
Townsend was okay at that crystal palace match last week.
Probably the best British football coach around.
Which commentator started all this talk? I met Jaqui Oatley with Mowbray and Keown about 15+ years ago and I wonāt hear a bad word said about her.
Iād much prefer to get my punditry from you campaigners.
Manchester team getting a penalty shocker
Penalty for city. Handball given against a player 1 yard from the player crossing it.
Haaland misses
Heās finished
Flukey pen thenā¦KARMAā¦yyeeeessss
Covered a lot of the lower tier games but perhaps one of the better commentators around. Definitely deserves more recognition.
The interesting thing about Haaland is that heās so singularly focused on scoring goals - and so incapable of doing anything else to help his team - that he is only a dry period away from being a worse version of Romelu Lukaku.
Now heās resorted to dragging the defenders to the ground and complaining he should have had a pen.
Bloody hellā¦heās still whining onā¦get on with it ya gret whale
The Utd CBs are marking him tight and heās now dealing with that by just running into them trying to create enough contact to win a penalty. There is only so many of these before the ref inevitably will point to the spot again
Why does he look like Greta Thunberg on steds.
Cityās game plan is to appeal to the ref enough so he gives a pen.
Sheffield are doing nothing wrong. Proper physical defending. City expecting teams to give Haaland a mile of space so he can score.
Watch it now ref will fall for it. My commentators for all the talk of back in my day you could do it, are doing some moaning. How dare a team not bow down to the mighty city, how dare one leave one in on Grealish
Thatās exactly what Haarlands doing by running up to the ref complaining (after he flings himself onto the floor).
The ref will start giving more free kicks etc to them in the second half.
Sheff Utd have had a couple of good moments. But if they let in one, it will probably end up losing by four goals. Just need Sheff Utd to keep it level as long as possible to make Haarlandās head explode with rage.
He has a red card in him, but as of yet, the refs let him run roughshod, whereas Darwin is a marked man for the refs.
Louie Marsh, on the bench for Sheff Utd today, scored 23 in 17 appearances at U21 level last season and already has 6 in 2 this season.
Hopefully they give him a chance late on, see if he can translate that form to senior football.
Also, does Sky need to tell me every day how many touches Haaland has. Every few minutesā¦.I get it he doesnāt touch the ball who cares, lad scores about 40 a season.
After the dreadful performance in the first game Villa look now to playing more the sort of football we expected from them. 2 really nice goals in the first half, the second was especially slick
