Premier League 2023/24 (Part 2)

But Arsenal usually finish the job when they score first.

What an idiot Lamptey is, should have kicked him in the chest to get away with it.

We are the only title contender who canā€™t win at Brighton. The last time we did it, we won the league!

Brighton donā€™t seem to be bothered unlike last week.

Also Man City havenā€™t played Brighton yet.

They havenā€™t won yet

To be fair Iā€™m sure most neutrals watched our game against Brighton and just thought Brighton werenā€™t interested.

If someone played against our rivals for nearly an hour without registering a shot (after they scored the opener) weā€™d be accusing them of not caring.

It would make much more sense though especially away.

Probably shouldnā€™t have less of an expected goal average than last week away at Anfield.

Arsenal will be around til the end of the season. They simply donā€™t give up a lot of chances which is going to keep you in games. Defensively they are very very solid

Lee Dixon very outspoken over here to say it wasnā€™t a penalty.

Anyway, the ref gave it, itā€™s only 1-0, game on. Plenty to fight for second half.

When was the last time some team turned the game around against Arsenal? Specifically, when did Brighton do it against any top sideā€¦

Not good enough by Brighton here. Playing like a team fighting against relegation.

Yep, credit where itā€™s due, Arteta has them playing very well, and as a very organized and cohesive unit. They are difficult to play against, and they create plenty of chances for themselves.

Arsenal did things the correct way after realizing that loading up on expensive, big-name marquee signings was not going to get them anywhere. They allowed Arteta to come in, clear out the overpriced shite (Ozil, Auba, Laca, Willian, etc.), focus on young promising, hungry players, and instill a style of play that has seen them go from mid-table mediocrity to genuine title contenders competing with Klopp and Pep, as well as going fairly deep into the CL this season.

Essentially, Arteta and Arsenal have done what Man United should have been looking to do 4 or 5 years ago. Instead, United have continued to follow the same idiotic pattern and are paying the price for it, both financially and on the pitch.

Let them cook. If they can hang around and keep it at 1-0, they might be able to shithouse a late goal from a set piece or penno. 1-1 would be a huge result for them.

2-0

Haha @PeachesEnRegalia

Stupid ugly cunt.

Weā€™re not going to get any help at all from the rest of the league. Will take us winning out the rest of the way.

Very tall order.

Thatā€™s that then

Time to switch over to Dortmund vs Stuttgart.

I was going to go out in half an hour. As it happens Iā€™m free right now! 2-0 Iā€™ve seen enough.

Annoyingly a very good performance from Arsenal. They always look so compact, Brighton have looked pretty clueless in terms of how to get through them in this second half.
