Haha @cynicaloldgit
It is in fact probably a notch up for not getting rid of it.
Leicester getting done for FFP violations.
The analysis I read a couple of weeks ago suggested they were already as good as down with the size the penalty they were likely to receive.
If that happens itās just another black eye for the retrospective nature of it all. What is the point of allowing a team to cheat their way to promotion only to then be punished so harshly that it makes the season effectively a washout. Imagine being the team in the championship prevented from getting promotion.
I think the idea is that the deterrent effect will start to get some traction.
Also , Everton being allowed to get away with a light punishment or no punishment screwed Leicesterās chances of survival.
And then the spiral once Leicester got down to the championship.
Leicester I believe is still fighting the case against Everton.
Also Leicester getting the points deduction effectively saves Everton from being relegated.
The odds of a promoted team avoiding relegation are pretty fucked and keep getting more fucked as the gap between premier league and championship only improves.
Look at Burnley who boss the championship and finish dead last in their turn back in the PL.
I donāt think they are that bad. We are just one season removed from a season where all three new arrivals stayed up. What has proven difficult is the step that Brentford has managed, of graduating from newly promoted (first season was 21/22) to solid midtable. There is a distinct tier of clubs that are in and around going up to the PL or down to the CH every year, depending where they find themselves.
More commendable is now Brighton have managed to go about their business.
Only works if the likes of City and Chelsea get fucked.
Should just point to Everton and go lookā¦ 6 points over 5 seasons.
Come on the Foxes!!
Vardy still starting up top for them, dude must be like what? 142 years old by now.
Donāt be sillyā¦
Here is a recent photo
The confusing thing about the Leicester situation is you look at the XI they are playing today and itās really difficult to see how this is the side they have ended up with that will cost them these penalties for overspending.
Have Leicester won a single header in their penalty box?
Wait their new signing is 23ā¦
He looks in his late 30s
Is that what Spurs does?
Leicester looking vulnerable on set-pieces, so naturally Spurs decide to start fucking around with short corners that come to nothing.
Canāt say that hasnāt been coming. Leicester are going back down with this defence. Utter plodder.
Leicester will be going back down on this performance, Spurs bossing them alround
Compare them to Ipswich, who at least gave it a go and tried to impose their game on us rather than stting deep inviting pressure
