Liverpool were joint-bottom when it came to scoring from set-pieces (excluding penalties) from the start of the season until 31 December but since the turn of the year, no team has scored more from set-pieces than Liverpool.

Have you seen my latest post?
I beg to differ…
“If you played the game you’d know that…”
I just hope that is automated. The goalline technology works well. It shouldn’t be too hard to extend that.
I wonder if where we are heading is to not have outfield players in the 6-yard box prior to the corner kick being taken. Plus, a tougher no shirt tugging or wresteling mandate for refs - which is more subjective and trickier to manage.
Nope.
And in a show of having learned nothing, this isnt a simple case of VAR now being able to review corners. It is in fact a case of VAR now being to review SOME corners. It still cannot be used to give a corner when the ref thinks the ball did not go out. It cannot be used to give a corner when the ref gives a goal kick. It can ONLY be used to give a goal kick when the ref has given a corner.
Its this sort of picking and choosing when VAR can be used, and then having to use a light tough to ignore things that are still not “correct”, that drives the overwhelming majority of the dissatisfaction.
Like I despair, and I am glad I have no one following on as this world is not one I would want to bring anyone into.
You would think that with Spurs traditionally having a large Jewish following, that there would be a little more self awareness, but Maccabi Tel Aviv were also fined for similar behavior in Stuttgart.
That would be the fault of the Muslims in Birmingham again
@Rambler still so sure?
Wow! That was…something !
Whether you think it’s a soft penalty or not the hand on the shoulder continues into the area or at least on the line and a definite second touch as he falls. I still think it is a red. You can’t surely argue that he doesn’t deliberately slow him up in his attempt to get to the ball and that he was last defender and that the trajectory of man and ball is towards the goal… even if you still think it isn’t a pen it is still a red card.
Here is video from a different angle but you might need a VPN to view it..
Straight to Specsavers Rammer!
It’s an outrageous dive and should have been a yellow card for the bloke in red.
He waitied until get got to the edge of the box and then…
