I saw Maradona in a hotel in Glasgow a few years back when he was first managing Argentina. He was surrounded by photographers and looking rather out of it. There seems to be a correlation between unnatural talent and self-destructive madness and he had both in buckets. Worth seeing the second goal he scored against England at the 1986 World Cup again. It’s as if he was dribbling around statues. Truly amazing.
