Russian War Crimes (Part 1)

Perhaps Sweden could confuse the Russian army with large consignments of flat pack furniture?

Not a chance :joy: we have massive superiority in both air and naval power.

Russia have more tanks than us but as Ukraine is demonstrating right now - that doesn’t count for much.

Not sure If i can laugh at this and whether someone accuses me of having no ethics at even a dark joke.

Just trying to ease tensions on here, nothing more.

Squabbling on here doesn’t feel right to me. It should be 100% about the horror the is being enacted by the will of one person.

I don’t like the way this is going, Russia making threats towards Finland and Sweden now. Sweden ffs!!

Goes both sides I’d say. Neither US or Russia and their leadership is free from this. What’s Ukraine now is what’s Iraq then.

Both the nations leadership can fuck off to a corner and kill themselves for all i care.

Yep. This definitely is not gonna end well.

There are…tensions. I offer an olive branch. I view the world different to you, you are in India after all. Sweden and Finland are red lines for me emotionally and when you compare them with ex-Soviet states, ignoring the fact that Russia is threatening them, and that they are not part of the sphere that Russia traditionally claims , I get angry since it is incomparable with Ukraine/Georgia or even the Baltics. NATO has an open door policy to Sweden and Finland and has had so for decades. You seemed to ignore both that and the unreasonable Russian agressive threats. Pissed me off in combination with your neutrality claim yesterday. I don’t see how one can be neutral.

Anyway let us put it to rest.

All these oligarchs, putin friendly, kiss putin"s bottom people…should be all rounded up, given a parachute, put on a plane, and sent back to where they came from and to the country they supposedly love…kick them out of he plane(literally)…cause their mate has demolished all the airports…they take no money, no paperwork and no assets…get rid…I understand this sounds archaic…I just wonder how many other people feel the same.

Definitely sounding very ominous I agree. Can’t say I know a lot of history of dictators that have had visions of domination but there seems to be a whiff about it.

I tend to see history as something doomed to repeat because the leaders don’t take enough notice to address what’s been done in the past.

If I do seem to be taking a macro view over these things , It’s not that I don’t have sympathy for people who are caught in the middle of the conflict.

I am accountable for my choices. We have so few consequential choices in our life, the choice of choosing to kill, is a pretty big choice. Historically, it wasn’t as clear a choice but now however, it is.

I find it incredible that Iraq I and Iraq II happened, or indeed Afghanistan and Syria. People objected but the people who decided to go to war remain above question. We are (should be) better that that. Individuals should be held accountable - including the grunt. If nothing else, it helps to hold to account the choices of the individuals far from the trenches.

If ever there was a clear reason to go to war, for the UK, it is for this. Otherwise what we are saying is that, we’ve done the cost/benefit analysis and it won’t work for us in a timescale that will benefit the current (and near future) party. It is not quite as clear as was the Falklands case but it is more than for Iraq/Syria/Afghanistan.

It seems we have all these toys and we are just itching to use them to show how great we are - but only when if it shooting fish in a barrel. As is the case with Russia atm.

yeah keep every warmonger in a space ship and fucking blast them off to the sun for all i care.

I do maintain that the economy of US and Russia runs by the amount of weapons they can make/sell etc.

“We’ve got so many weapons here , Let’s show people our dick sizes and then we go on a wankfest”

Will probably accelerate their membership into NATO. Which is ironic given that neither country was particularly inclined to join before this and, at least officially, this war is about avoiding NATO membership.

We should welcome Finland and Sweden with open arms.

USA inbound?

From earlier today

Good news, but probably too late:

War is something very personal to me. My grandads brother was killed in the 1971 bangladesh war and my grand-dad did participate in that war. The same war that US wanted to not happen because they desperately wanted to avoid upsetting one of their key allies in the cold war in Pakistan and went to the extent of sending nuke subs to threaten India.

The fact that the total people killed in the bangladesh liberation war were in the millions didn’t matter ofcourse.

Needless to say , It’s ironic how the US wants India to be a part of QUAD now…But that’s just politics though.

Anyway , This is a totally different tangent and if this digresses to a US bashing thing , please feel free to delete

That’s a surveillance drone, unlikely to be doing anything other than intel gathering.
