Russian War Crimes (Part 1)

Somebody will try and claim that jerky’s the same thing.

The right lives.

On a side note, since we are talking billtong/jerky…

My wife made some recently, it was delicious. Marinated a roast from a half-cow we bought. Spiced it. Cut it into thin strips. Cooked low and slow in the air fryer for a long time. Brought out racks of beef jerky. Bloody lovely.

Do I need to go bog roll shopping again?

Much better than pine needles

Both territories have been involved in issues of Russian expansionism in the past. Furthermore, Finns have lived with a near constant state of awareness of pending Russian invasion. They argue that it is only their belligerence and resolve that has prevented Sweden from having to worry about the same. And to the degree that Finland was at the time a part of the Kingdom of Sweden, Russia did in fact take at least a part of Sweden by incorporating Finland the empire. Russian views on territory it has an eye to is not limited to its Communist era.

But more to the point, who cares? The historical difference between the presently independent countries doesnt mean the UK would be more be justified in invading Dublin today than it would Amsterdam.

I guess Im not sure what people think other people are arguing over :man_shrugging:

Parts. Stop the parts going over.

Not sure what vehicles their military stuff is based on but cut off the parts supply if you can.

Really quite surprised how this day has played out. Russians have gained considerable territory across a broad front, and connected up their initial gains. But they don’t appear to have slashed open UKR lines anywhere.

I’m sure the Russians knew where their troops were so nothing lost except a chance for China to take the moral high ground.

Strange tactic attacking on such a large front, like some kid had drawn up the plans.
The only intelligent things there are the attacks on Kyiv and from Crimea both which look to have bogged down.

Tbf, I thought Lenovo is Chinese? That’s a surprise

I don’t think they attacked all across that front - their positions yesterday had clear salients across the border. What has likely happened is that as they have realized where the UKR lines of resistance are, they have extended out their flanks to connect them, while maintaining their original concentrations. Doesn’t take much more than a couple of recon vehicles to check if a road is clear.

But that underscores the fact that they only made real observable progress pushing down the east bank of the Dniepr, with some smaller gains along the west side.

Twas interested to see an article today on the proven fake/mistaken(?) images being sent around.

This invasion is being played out on Twitter…but I find the disinformation possibilities quite terrifying.

Of course, we’re not amateurs.
