Why have western countries waited till now to deliver more of these weapons/equipment.Would it have helped more to deliver them all a few days ago.

Same reason Ukraine did not mobilise. Escalation trap. No one knew 100% that RU would pull the trigger. Just 80-90% assessments. Sending these weapons is blowing up the bridges to Russia, it could also have led them to attack if they had not in fact planned to attack(i.e. mobilisation trap, escalation trap).

Also the Russian mentality I think. They were churning out t-34 tanks like mad. they were poorly built, but worked and if they broke down they got in another one.
Germany built to a high spec and thus more slowly. Their struggles to supply the eastern Was also a reason why they struggled. The Tiger was known to have issues. transmission I think it was.
Russia Today is no longer being broadcast in NZ and Australia.

I more mean have them ready to go as soon as Russia did attack,as in 2 days ago.At this point it could end up being too late to save those currently under fire in Kiev as well as other cities.I know there will have been some equipment sent a couple of days ago but Zelensky has been asking for more for the past 24/48hrs,i don’t see why more could not have been sent then.

Agree, but some, notably Germany and France, taken by real surprise. They thought they understood Putin’s intentions better than they really did.

People need to consider the logistics of sending huge amounts of munitions into a war zone at a moment’s notice.

That too, but he is right that they could have been prepared in advance. Both Germany and France has the capacity. But surprise. Germany’s mil intelligence chief, due to German miscalculations, was so surprised by war outbreak that he had to flee alone, by car to Poland. He waited for hours in a refugee queue.

Well, they won’t make that mistake again. 30 plus years of bridge building gone in a couple of days. It will be half a century or more until anyone in Western Europe trusts the Russians again. If they ever do.

Not total confirmation. I have seen a Russian film of Ukrainian Povs claiming to be from the island. But it is confirmed they were fired upon and Ukraine lost contact with them.
