A pinch of salt there but would not surprise me at all. Russians have always had conscripts in them and sent them out poorly trained and green with no idea what they’re there for.
The stuff about training I ignore. That’s something that just people say anyway. But there are a lot of videos of POVs. 200 probably not very far off, and it can be checked by Red Cross. I trust less their number of killed Russians.
Neo Nazis and Ultra Nationalists good for something at least:
Btw what’s a POV? Isn’t that a porn thing?
I keep doing that. Sorry. It happens all the time. I intend to write POWs and write POVs. Sorry, but everyone understands what I mean I am sure.
Damn predictive text
If true… This is amazing
Russian tv was also hacked to play the Ukrainian national anthem earlier today
Destroyed Russian equipment:
I have no idea why I’m so invested in this. I mean, I’m thousands of miles away and I can’t fucking sleep and the wife isn’t talking to me because I’m spending most of my time following this. I’m literally on tenterhooks, almost like the feeling when we’re 1 goal up and hanging on.
I dunno, feels like something momentous is here, more so than just the outcome but what the outcome means. Like if they hold on against all the odds then the world might throw off some of the shackles we’ve thrown around ourselves and start believing again vs they can’t and authoritarian regimes suddenly become enabled again leaving us more divided than before.
Here’s an analysis of the situation from an historian specialized in warfare. I recommend the read.
His conclusions are that Putin probably made a mistake because even if the invasion succeed, keeping the country will probably be impossible.
Thanks for posting, will read later
Related to this, check this article about conscription being forced on the youth:
Yeah I know what you mean. Of course, I am Norwegian so I have far more at stake. But I am fundamentally invested in following the events of this war.
Anyway, a Syrian-Ukrainian raised his little volunteer platoon in Odessa:
A warning for what is to come. Remember that enormous Russian armour column 30ish kilometers north of Kyiv earlier today.
